A long, slim navette of golden-hued tigers eye gemstone is set in a fun Modernist statement ring. The gem is clasped by six claw-like prongs, held in a 10k gold navette setting. Glittering rope engraving frames the gem. The gallery is a raised basket of open gold work over a half round band. The interior of the band is marked "ESEMCO." Tigers eye has an optical property known as chatoyancy, intergrown fibers that reflect a silky shimmer that almost seems to flow across the gem. It's the ideal gemstone for this dramatic ring. Circa 1960.

ESEMCO, founded in 1906 in Newark, New Jersey, is a fine jewelry manufacturer and a division of Seaman Industries. The company was renamed Seaman Industries in 1971.
